This scrapbook contains assorted ephemera related to Sterns' life and education including dance cards, programs (plays, church services, athletic events), Dean's disciplinary messages, photographs, newspapers and newspaper clippings, and a Vermont certificate of Stern's military service (with medal) in World War I. Curiously, materials are housed in a National Memory and Fellowship book for the University of Vermont, not for Middlebury College.

Murdoch '65 sent a brief "war story" to Fred Stetson '65 in October 2019 via email. Included with the story is background information provided by Stetson and Murdoch's brief explanatory statement both included in the email exchange.

Jeffrey L. Pelton, Class of 1964

Scope and Contents

Pelton provides a brief overview of his military service, and a slide show with inventory and an 8mm movie of compiled film reels documenting his service in Cam Ranh and Nha Trang Bays, Vietnam, 1965-1966. Pelton was also recorded during an MVGB gathering in August 2019 presenting his slide show and participating in a panel discussion about Vietnam military service. Those recordings are preserved in folder C-174 in Digital Halcyon in audio resources.

Millyn "Mill" D. Moore, Class of 1971

Kasvinsky provides a brief memoir/overview and commentary on his time as a Lieutenant Commander, USNR, on Carrier Air Wing 21 (CVW-21). He was also recorded talking about his military service as part of a veterans gathering organized by Middlebury Veterans Give Back (MVGB) on Aug. 15-16, 2019.

Thomas R. Easton, Class of 1966

Easton is not only a Middlebury Alumni Veteran, he is also an officer of Middlebury Veterans Give Back (MVGB). Records for Easton include: a written account of a helicopter accident that occurred on July 27, 1968, resulting in the death of four crewman (C-174 document collection); an aviator's helmet, first issuded to Easton in 1967 and donated by him in 2019 (shelved in Realia); and recordings of Easton made during an MVGB gathering in August 2019 (available in Digial Halcyon/AV/C-174).
