Created in 2019 and in collaboration with Middlebury Veterans Give Back (MVGB), the Middlebury Alumni Veterans Collection (C-174) will reflect the military experience of veterans through papers, memoirs, photographs, ephemera, realia and media, including films, slides and interviews.

To date, the contents of the collection have been donated by members of Middlebury Veterans Give Back (MVGB) and Middlebury veterans encouraged by MVGB.

Scope and Contents

Pelton provides a brief overview of his military service, and a slide show with inventory and an 8mm movie of compiled film reels documenting his service in Cam Ranh and Nha Trang Bays, Vietnam, 1965-1966. Pelton was also recorded during an MVGB gathering in August 2019 presenting his slide show and participating in a panel discussion about Vietnam military service. Those recordings are preserved in folder C-174 in Digital Halcyon in audio resources.

Easton is not only a Middlebury Alumni Veteran, he is also an officer of Middlebury Veterans Give Back (MVGB). Records for Easton include: a written account of a helicopter accident that occurred on July 27, 1968, resulting in the death of four crewman (C-174 document collection); an aviator's helmet, first issuded to Easton in 1967 and donated by him in 2019 (shelved in Realia); and recordings of Easton made during an MVGB gathering in August 2019 (available in Digial Halcyon/AV/C-174).
