The Vice President for Academic Development position was created for and held by Tim Spears, beginning in 2014. The Vice President for Academic Development is meant to advance strategic initiatives and special projects in collaboration with the President and Provost of the college. This position oversees the Office of Grants & Sponsored Programs, and it administers the Fund for Innovation, an internal funding source available to faculty and students, aimed at promoting educational innovation. The individual in this position also coordinates the review of programs not directly tied to the curriculum, and it also serves as liason to the Programs Committee of the Board of Trustees.
