Millicent Fairhurst Middlebury Women, 1959- collection

The Miscellaneous Manuscript Collection at Middlebury College Library contains single, unbound manuscripts and small groups of manuscripts acquired for the Library's Special Collections. The material include chiefly individual and small groups of letters, as well as diaries and journals, records and account books, and sermons and speeches. Many items in this collection were primarily collected and/or purchased because they were thought to be relevant to curriculum.

Orlando L. French Civil War collection

French to his wife, Lydia, during his service in the Civil War from 1862-1865, and the original transcription of these letters prepared in the 1970s (along with bound working photocopy of transcription). Paul Blackburn papers

Materials are largely from the mid-1950s, including letters and poems that reveal the poet’s life, work and travels in Europe, Toulouse, Banyalbufar in Majorca, Vienna, Frankfurt, and Perugia are among the places from which the poet writes.
