Scope and Contents
This resource contains records produced by the Office of the Dean of Students. The bulk of the Dean of Students' records begin in 1970 and end in 2000. Programs such as orientation, the Commons, fraternities and residential life, all fall under the Dean of Students.
This resource also includes records produced by the Student Activities Office and Residential Life, both of which report to the Dean of Students. Included are Vice President of Student Affairs, from the 1970s-1990s. Titles changed often and interchangeably.

Biographical / Historical
As of 2007-2008, the SAO was absorbed by the Vice President of Academic Affairs. It has become part of the Experiential Learning Centers, encompassing all leadership and career programs. The Student Activities Office (SAO) was formerly knows as the Center for Campus Activities and Leadership (CCAL).
