Biographical / Historical
Wyman West Parker (1912-1998) was born to Austin W. and Elizabeth (West) Parker in Woburn Massachusetts and graduated from Middlebury College in 1934. He served as Acting Librarian for the Bread Loaf School of English from 1936 to 1937 and Librarian from 1938 to 1941. Parker later served as Director of the Friends of the Library at Middlebury College. Parker married Jane W. Kingsley in 1941 and the couple had three children: Christopher W., Kingsley W., and Andrew D. He later married Elizabeth Colman in 1982.
