Letters, 1837-1877
Scope and Contents
Twenty holograph letters from Ralph Waldo Emerson to various recipients, dated between 1837 and 1877 (note that some letters are undated). Recipients include Solomon Corner, Mary Emerson Ripley, James Russell Lowell, the Lyceum curator, Elbridge G. Dudley, Arthur Hugh Clough, Benjamin B. Wiley, Henry Ingersoll Bowditch, and Harrison Gray Otis Blake.
