Class of 1955 Nancy Walker scrapbook, 1950-1951
Scope and Contents
This scrapbook documents the final portion of Walker's Senior year at Plainview High School in Plainview, NJ (1950/51), and the beginning of her first year at Middlebury College (1951/52). It contains an extensive collection of ephemera including newspaper clippings, Middlebury College application materials, programs from church services, plays (Wig and Pen, Broadway), and musical performances, birthday and other holiday cards, high school commencement materials, rules and regulations for incoming first years at Middlebury, travel memorabilia including airline and train tickets, print materials relating to "hell week," photographs of campus, pressed plants, dance cards, and song lyrics. A majority of the scrapbook's contents are accompanied by handwritten notes and/or brief journal entries.
