Scope and Contents

This scrapbook contains programs from plays and sporting events, photographs, newspaper clippings, and materials related to the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity, as well as a program from a 1915 screening of D.W. Griffith's "The Birth of a Nation" at Middlebury.

From the Middlebury College General Catalogue, 1950: Son of William H. and Annice J. (Tucker) Cardell. Born in Warren, VT., April 23, 1897. Pepared for college at Bristol High School, Bristol, VT. Entered Middlebury College in 1914. Analytical chemist in various laboratories, 1918-1923. Chemist, Westinghouse, 1923-1927; General Chemical Co., 1928-1929; R.C.A. Radiation Co., 1929-1931; Meteyol Chemical Co., 1931-1935; Carlton Lamp Corporation; 1935-1936; Raytheon Manufacturing Co., 1936-. Married Lois L. Jenne, April 7, 1921. Child: Annice D. (deceased).
