One hand-painted and decorated egg by Nancy Willard, 1989. The egg features small cuttouts of books by Donald Hall, including: Ox-Cart Man, String too Short to Be Saved, and The Man Who Lived Alone. Glued to the top of the egg is a small baseball glove with a baseball resting in the palm, and glued to the side of the egg is a small baseball bat reading "Terry Pendleton." There is a small white string wound around the egg. Signed by Donald Hall, and enscribed "for Nancy."
