Scope and Contents One typescript copy of "Down at the Cross" by James Baldwin. The essay is signed "Jim" and addressed to "Bill & Sylvia." Also includes holograph postcard to Bill and Silvia Abernathy from Baldwin. The postcard reads "Happy New Year. See you in February or March."
