Bread Loaf Printers Scrapbook, 1940-1942
This scrapbook comprises samples of print materials from Bread Loaf Printers, including programs for plays, lectures, and musical performances at the Bread Loaf School of English, greeting cards, and poetry. Filed with the scrapbook is a 1940 issue of the Graphic Arts Education Journal, which includes an article detailing the creation of a printing operation at Bread Loaf at the suggestion of Robert Frost.

This scrapbook, compiled by Gray Taylor, contains programs and photographs from plays and other performances at the Bread Loaf School of English between 1935 and 1940. Subjects of the photographs are identified in writing. The scrapbook includes two photographs from the 1939 performance of Robert Frost's poem "Snow."

Bread Loaf gratefully accepts these photographs from Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sampson, Miss Pomeroy, Mark Wright, and especially Nita Cook. Paul Cubeta identified many photographs, and we thank him also. These photographs display our history.
