Two holograph letters written by Harrison Gray Otis Blake to Charles Mortimer. The first letter, dated March 17, 1892, discusses [Samuel Arthur] Jones' Thoreau bibliography, Thoreau and John Brown, and [Henri Frederic] Amiel's journal. The second letter, dated April 17-18, 1893, thanks Mortimer for a news article and discusses Blake's Thoreau volume.
