Scope and Contents Describes Offley's voyage with his new wife Catharine, from New York to Trieste on the Shipe Prudence, August 20th to October 17th, 1826. The 2nd volume is a print transcript and includes additional family information, as well as a journal by Catharine Van Renssalaer Heaton Offley, Offley family letters and documents (1817-1851), a biography of David Offley, the Heaton and Offley family genealogies, and a bibliography. Also contains a color photograph of John Holmes Offley's portrait.
